Pisiskeyihtâkwan Keychain
These keychains are part of a line of Indigenous pieces
All purchases from my website will help the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC)
The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote, and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of First Nations, Métis and Inuit women.
I want to create these pieces to celebrate Indigenous peoples!
June is National Indigenous Peoples Month
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day (and a variety of different days in the USA)
September 30th is Orange Shirt Day
I am Indigenous (Cree and Métis) and had difficulty with how to identify as a person since I was adopted as a baby.
I have talked to a few different Indigenous small business owners to get their take on me doing this as well so I ensured that I was comfortable making these (especially when using the teepee stamp).❤️ ⠀
I am (and will continue to) learning about my history, my family, and my culture and this is one step I can take to celebrate my background.
